Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers with over 46 districts throughout the world dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Fredericksburg Club is part of the Capital District, which has over 9,000 individual members.
The Fredericksburg Kiwanis Chapter was founded in 1923 and is still growing. Our goal is to support and encourage various youth programs within our community. Each year, several projects are created by the Fredericksburg Kiwanis Club. In addition, the Club’s Foundation is used as a vehicle to accept tax deductible contributions. With the income from the Foundation and the Club’s projects, the Fredericksburg Kiwanis Club contributes annually to fund activities and provide financial support for the young men and women in the community. In 2014, the club contributed $25,000.
The mission of the Kiwanis Club of Fredericksburg is to provide opportunities to the many young men and women in the Fredericksburg region to serve their community. We also provide annual scholarship opportunities in order to assist local students to continue their education.
